For the last two weeks me and James Clifton (@cliffioo) have been on placement at Cogent Elliott in Meriden. We won the placement through the B-Hive scheme in the Digital section. We spent two weeks in the digital design department and met some great people. It was great to understand how an agency works and working on live briefs for clients. While there we worked on two integrated briefs and we’ll be working one of them up for our portfolio. Being at Cogent for two weeks was very rewarding for us. Heres a few things i learnt:
1) Make tea.
2) Always ask question, go to the people in your department and ask what they think of the work your producing.
3) Smile and be enthusiastic.
4) Be on time.
5) Stay late if you can and everyone else in the office is.
6) Enjoy it and try and get as much out of the experience as you can!
7) Bring in cake!
